Members of the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES) began developing Phil Harmonix Studio in 2005 to honor the memory of Phil Benoit (YES '01). Phil had a vast knowledge and love of music and a desire to start a music-related business in his hometown of Orange, MA. Sadly, Phil died in a car accident just days after his 21st birthday and his dream to bring more musical opportunities and resources to the North Quabbin region was never realized.

In 2009, the North Quabbin Young Leaders Council at YES raised funds to begin Studio construction. Pending a final inspection and the awarding of an occupancy permit by the Town of Orange, we expect to open the Studio in mid-September 2010. The Studio will be operated on a self-supporting basis as a non-profit partnership with BFK Studio, a youth-operated business, and will offer youth Studio Members and adult musicians access to affordable:

  ▪ rehearsal and practice space
  ▪ recording, mixing, mastering, and duplication
  ▪ lessons
